Black Belt Grading Training Session

Training Session for all Black Belts and Red Belts/Black Tags wanting to prepare for their Black Belt Grading

Saturday 4th February 4.00 pm – Onwards

Balfour Junior School, Balfour Road
Cost; £10.00

This training session is run just twice a year as a mock Black Belt Grading to run a student through their whole grading syllabus with the exception of destruction and theory in the format of a Black Belt Grading. This will test you and highlight any areas where you might be weak and need more preparation giving you time to work on these before the grading.

Open to all students black stripe and above 5-13 years. Must have sparring equipment for the training sessions.

Reward Badges as follows:

Yellow – 1 Squad Training Session

Green – 3 Squads

Blue – 6 Squads + 1 Competition

Red – 9 Squads + 2 Competitions

Black – 12 Squads + 3 Competitions

Gold – For winning one or more Gold Medals in a Competition

Taekwon-Do Impact Exhibition Championships, hosted by TKD Impact

The championship will be held at: The Impact Academy, Innes Yard, Croydon CR0 1BX

Sunday 22nd January 2012.

This competition will be an opportunity for TKD students to showcase their technical virtuosity and skill competitively, in a creative and spectacular mode until now more usually associated with demonstrations.

The competition is open to yellow belts and above. Events will be split into two age categories: Under 13’s and 13 year olds to adults, with divisions for intermediate and advanced students within each of these. The events are: Pre-arranged Free Sparring, Model Sparring, Team Patterns and Self-Defence.

Brighton and Hove Taekwon-Do School Colour Belt Grading

The next Colour Belt Grading is set for 4.45 pm Saturday 21st January at Balfour Junior School, Balfour Road, Brighton. This will be held in the Sports Hall.

You need to return your completed Grading Request Form before the 15th January.

All students should stay until you are dismissed as Master Nardizzi often likes to give a short talk to students after their grading.

For sparring in gradings all Green Belts and above are required for safety reasons to wear full sparring equipment. (Including head guards)

Instructor’s Course

9.30 am – 3 pm Sunday 15th January 2012

Balfour Junior School, Balfour Road, Brighton
(There will be ½ hour break for lunch please ensure you bring a packed lunch)

Open to all Red Belts and above

This course is to teach people how to run a class and to explain the successful teaching methods that work so well within the school. Covering the important aspects that need to be done in running a class, warm up, communication, stretching, and different teaching methods.

This will be a practical course allowing people to learn the theory and understanding and then have a go using the methods explained.

Course fee: £20.00 (Concession for those assisting weekly in the children’s classes: £12.00)

Contact your Instructor for an application form. Forms must be returned before the 9th January to reserve your place.

No ‘Tots’ Class on 2nd January 2012

There will be adults/teens training as usual on:

Wednesday 28th December
Thursday 29th December

And there will be training as usual both Children’s classes and the Adults/Teens Classes on 2Sunday 1st January 2012

With the exception of the 2nd Jan ‘Tots’ Class then training returns to normal.
