Brothers Jack and Thomas Knight achieved their 1st Degree Black Belt at the recent Black Belt grading held in Brighton under Master Donatoe Nardizzi 8th Degree.

This is the last BBGTS before the Black Belt Grading in September and there will only be on more before the BB Grading in March. So all Red Belts and Black Belts should make every effort to attend.

Brighton and Hove Taekwon-Do School Colour Belt Grading
The next Colour Belt Grading is set for 4.45 pm Saturday 16th July at Balfour Junior School, Balfour Road, Brighton. This will be held in the Sports Hall.
You need to return your completed Grading Request Form before the 9th July.
All students should stay untill you are dismissed as Master Nardizzi often likes to give a short talk to students after their grading.
For sparring in gradings all Green Belts and above are required for safety reasons to wear full sparring equipment. Including Head Guards.

Brighton Martial Arts Head Guards

From the next grading, for all those that are required to spar, it will be a necessary for students to wear their own head guards. This will apply to all colour belt gradings and Black Belt gradings.
I now have a number of Top Pro Head guards in stock, either blue or red.
If you wish to order a Head Guard please speak to your instructor.

Brighton Martial Arts Viking Cup Success

Black Belt Students from Brighton & Hove Taekwon-Do School acheived great success at the Viking Cup in Sweden.
Callum Clark 2 nd Degree, Katerina Avramides and Dylan Coughlan both 1st Degree Black Belts took part in the recent Viking Cup held in Skovde, Sweden.
Callum and Katerina both acheived Silver Medals in their respective sparring divisions, great success for such a major International Competition.

Brighton Martial Arts ITF England Umpires Course

The venue is: Prince of Wales Youth Centre, Militia Road, Canterbury, CT1 1YX
The Umpire’s Course is open to red and black belts, aged 13 years and over.
Completed application forms and payment should be received by the closing date of 9th May 2011.
