Brighton and Hove Taekwon-Do School Colour Belt Grading

The next Colour Belt Grading is set for 3.45 pm Saturday 8th May at Balfour Junior School, Balfour Road, Brighton. This will be held in the Sports Hall.

You need to return your completed Grading Request Form before the 1st May.

All students should stay until you are dismissed as Master Nardizzi often likes to give a short talk to students after their grading.

For sparring in gradings all Green Belts and above are required for safety reasons to wear full sparring equipment.

2010 Impact Junior Taekwon-Do Championships

The 2010 Impact Junior Championships are being held at the Olympos Leisure Centre (formerly called the Dolphin Centre), Pasture Hill Rd, Haywards Heath, RH16 1LY, on Saturday 20th March 2010.

The competition is open to Colour belts (Yellow Belts and above) and Black Belts. It is split into two age categories: under 13’s; 13-17’s. The events are Sparring, Patterns, Special Technique.

All Entry Forms must be returned to your instructor by Saturday 13th March latest.

Registration is on Saturday 20^th March. If any competitor has not made their weight/height (or have been entered incorrectly) they may be disqualified from that event. Alterations may only be made at the discretion of TKD Impact and will incur a charge of £6. All competitors should register at the following times:

9.00 am           Under 13′s

12.00 pm         13 yrs. and over

Depending on numbers, the competition will run based on this approximate schedule. Please note times are subject to change:

9:00am                        Under 13′s Registration

10:00am          Under 13′s Competition Start

            12.00pm          13-17yrs Registration

            1.00pm            13-17yrs Competition Start

Black Belt Grading Training Session

Brighton and Hove Taekwon-Do training session for all red belts and above who will be preparing for their Black Belt Grading or 2nd Degree Grading within the next 2 years.

This is a training session where the full Black Tag, Black Belt and 2nd Degree grading syllabus will be covered in the format of a grading. Designed to prep all students for the Black Belt Grading.

Slovenia Open ITF Taekwon-Do Championships

3 students from Brighton and Hove Taekwon-Do travel to Slovenia for the Slovenia Open Taekwon-Do Championships held by Mr Tomaz Barada a previous European and World Champion as well as having held the title of King of Taekwon-Do.

The 3 Brighton and Hove students taking part were Carl Clark a 16 year old 1 st Degree black belt, Dylan Coughlan, red belt and Katerina Avramides 1 st Degree Black Belt who went on to win a Bronze medal in her sparring division.
